Booking Terms and Rental Conditions – Bike Rental Policy
Payment for rental
The client may pick up and use the bicycle only after full payment of the rental fee in accordance with this contract. Payment can be made by bank transfer or in cash at the location specified on the website www.doctorbicycles.com .
In the case of a bank transfer, payment is considered completed only after the full amount has been credited to the lessor’s account as stated on the website. If the deposit or the total rental fee is not paid by the agreed deadline, the lessor has the right to withdraw from the contract.
To confirm your bike rental reservation, a 30% prepayment of the total rental price is required. The remaining balance is due upon bike pickup. This prepayment secures your reservation and ensures the bike is prepared according to your needs on the day of pickup.
Client’s responsibilities
The bicycle may only be used by the client and may not be handed over to third parties. Pick-up and return of the bicycle are possible only at the rental location (unless otherwise agreed between the lessor and the client) during the opening hours stated on www.doctorbicycles.com . If the client does not pick up the reserved bicycle at the agreed time, the reservation (including the deposit) will be forfeited without entitlement to a refund unless the lessor and the client agree otherwise.
The client is fully responsible for any damage, loss, theft, or destruction of the bicycle and its components throughout the rental period, regardless of whether the damage was caused by the client or a third party.
A refundable deposit of 100 EUR is required upon bike pickup. This deposit covers any potential damage to the bike during the rental period. The deposit will be returned in full when the bike is returned in its original condition, with no damage or issues.
The client must take all necessary precautions to prevent damage, theft, or loss of the bicycle. Any damage must be reported immediately to the lessor, either in person or by phone, using the contact information provided on www.doctorbicycles.com . Failure to report damage promptly may result in liability for any consequences caused by the delay.
If the client was under the influence of alcohol at the time of an accident, any agreed insurance will be void. Any technical issues must be reported exclusively to the lessor, who will decide on the appropriate repair procedure—clients are not permitted to repair the bicycle themselves.
If the client does not return the bicycle within the agreed period, an additional fee will be charged according to the current price list on www.doctorbicycles.com .
Lessor’s responsibilities
The lessor will hand over the bicycle to the client on the agreed date and time, with its condition recorded in the handover protocol.
If the reserved bicycle is unavailable due to technical reasons, the lessor will provide the client with a replacement bicycle of the same or higher price category (if no bicycle of the same category is available). If a lower-category bicycle is offered, the price will be adjusted in agreement with the client. The client has the right to refuse a bicycle from a different price category without any cancellation fees.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, epidemics, armed conflicts, or government interventions, the lessor is not liable for the inability to fulfill the contract.
Insurance and assistance services
The basic rental price does not include insurance against bicycle damage.
In case of mechanical issues, such as a broken frame or malfunctioning derailleur, we provide free SOS assistance. This service does not apply to transporting persons affected by alcohol, exhaustion, or adverse weather conditions.
All damages must be reported on the day of the accident. For more informations please check our Bike Rental Assurance site.
Operational regulations
The rented bicycle can only be picked up, adjusted, and returned during the opening hours stated on www.doctorbicycles.com . Assistance services are available during the opening hours listed on the website. Any changes to opening hours will be updated on the website.
The bicycle must be returned by 5:30 PM on the last rental day. If returned late, an additional day’s rental fee will be charged according to the price list.
Contract termination
The lessor may terminate the contract in cases specified in this contract or applicable legal regulations.
The client may cancel the contract at any time before the rental period begins but must pay a cancellation fee:
0% of the paid deposit/rental fee if canceled 14 or more days in advance
50% of the paid deposit/rental fee if canceled 8 - 13 days in advance
100% of the paid deposit/rental fee if canceled 7 days or less in advance
Data protection
The lessor processes the client’s personal data for the purpose of contract fulfillment in accordance with the GDPR regulation and Spanish laws. Detailed information about data processing, client rights, and how to exercise them can be found in the privacy policy on www.doctorbicycles.com .
These terms are effective from April 1, 2025, until further notice.

When taking out insurance, it is important to check with the insurance company whether this risk is covered.
