Cycling in Sa Pobla – Potato Fields Below the Tramuntana

Sa Pobla is the agricultural capital of the north — a flat grid of potato fields and irrigation channels between the s'Albufera wetland and the first Tramuntana slopes.

Its roads are ruler-straight and fast: to Playa de Muro and Alcúdia on the coast, to Pollença, or west to Campanet and Caimari for the Coll de sa Batalla and Lluc. Sa Pobla is about 48 minutes (64 km) from our shop in Paguera.

Ride Idea: The Bay of Alcúdia Flats

One of the flattest loops in Mallorca: ride from Sa Pobla to the walled old town of Alcúdia, follow the bay to Playa de Muro past the s'Albufera wetland and return inland via Muro — about 43 km of dead-flat roads, ideal for easy spinning. For a climb, Santa Magdalena above Inca starts 11 km away.
