Cycling in Escorca – The High Heart of the Tramuntana
Escorca is Mallorca's highest and wildest municipality — a sparsely populated mountain world around the Lluc monastery, the Gorg Blau and Cúber reservoirs and the island's roof, Puig Major. There is barely a village here, but there is more legendary cycling tarmac than anywhere else on the island: this is where Sa Calobra drops to the sea in 26 hairpins and where the MA-10 rolls past turquoise mountain lakes.
Most riders reach Escorca as the crowning stage of a Tramuntana loop. From our shop in Paguera (Peguera) it is the heart of the island's most epic rides — or let us deliver your rental bike to your hotel and start closer. Every climb below comes with an interactive map, elevation profile, real photos and a free GPX download.
