Cycling in Consell – Wine Village on the Old Palma–Inca Road
Consell is a quiet village on the old Palma–Inca road, wedged between Santa Maria del Camí and Binissalem in the middle of the Raiguer wine district — bodegas, vineyards and a famous Sunday flea market.
It is a natural staging post for rides from Palma towards the mountains: Alaró and the Castell d'Alaró road are 5 km north, Orient and Bunyola a little further, and the flat lanes of the Pla open to the south. Consell is about 33 minutes (42 km) from our Paguera shop.
Ride Idea: Consell to the Orient Valley
Ride to nearby Alaró and climb the gentle Coll d'Orient (6.1 km, 274 m) into the green Orient valley, then cross the Coll d'Honor and descend to Bunyola. The way home runs through the vineyards of Santa Maria del Camí — about 42 km with two cols, and one of the best loops in the Tramuntana foothills.
