Sóller - Coll de Sóller: Classic Northern Ascent

Stats: 7.5 km / 421 m. Classic northern ascent! Cyclist's paradise with ~30 hairpins, stunning valley views, minimal traffic since tunnel. More

Begin in the town of Sóller and follow the Ma-11 towards Palma, turning left onto the quiet Ma-11A just before the main road tunnel (forbidden for bikes). This is the longer, slightly steeper northern approach to the Coll de Sóller.

Prepare for hairpin heaven – this ~7,5 km climb boasts around 30 switchbacks, more than Alpe d'Huez!. The road snakes up the mountainside, offering fine glimpses back towards the Sóller valley.

Gradients average just over 5%. The road surface is good, and traffic is very light. Enjoy the shade on this side, especially in the morning, and the popular Ca'n Topa café at the summit.
