Port de Valldemossa - es Portalet: Mini Sa Calobra

Accessed via a turn-off from the Ma-10 near Valldemossa, the road to Port de Valldemossa requires you to descend first, then climb back out. This ~5-6km climb is often compared to a quieter, shorter Sa Calobra.

Starting from the picturesque harbour, the ascent features numerous tight hairpin bends snaking up the cliffside. Enjoy dramatic coastal views early on, before the road heads into a steeper, forested gorge.

The road is very narrow with gradients averaging over 7%. The surface can be rough in places, so caution is advised, especially on descent. A rewarding café awaits at the bottom. Note: "es Portalet" seems related to the Col du Pourtalet or a different location, not this specific climb.
