Vilafranca de Bonany is the melon town of the Pla, strung along the old Palma–Manacor road, with the Santuari de Bonany on the wooded hill that rises alone above the fields to the north.
The 3 km climb to Bonany (shared with Petra) is one of the Pla's favourite short ascents, with a summit view over the whole plain; from the town the lanes to Sant Joan, Porreres and Felanitx are flat and quiet. Vilafranca is about 52 minutes (63 km) from our Paguera shop.
