Bike Setup & Equipment Can you change the setup of my road bike with a compact 50/34 to different gears? Unfortunately, changing the gears is not possible. If you have any questions about choosing the right bike, we’ll be happy to help. Do you adjust the bike and saddle to the rider’s measurements, or does the rider need to adjust it themselves? We will prepare and set up everything in advance, so when you pick up the bike at our shop, it will be ready for you. When filling out the reservation form, you can provide your measurements, and we’ll set up the bike for you ahead of time. Can I use my own saddle and/or pedals? Yes, you are welcome to bring your own saddle and pedals. We will be happy to install them for you. What bike size do I need? Detailed information about choosing the right bike size can be found on page here. Does my bike come with tools? Yes! Each bike includes a saddle bag containing: one extra tube, two tire levers, pump, multi-tool with a chain breaker. Reservations & Rental Terms What is included in the price of bike rental? You can find all the details about what’s included in the rental price in the Rent a Bike section for each bike, specifically in the Pricelist tab. How much does it cost to rent a bike? You can find pricing information for bike rentals in the Rent a Bike section for each bike, under the Pricelist tab. Can I rent a bike for half a day? Bikes are rented for a minimum of one full day. Can I rent a bike for different days during my vacation? Yes, you can rent a bike for different days, but the minimum rental period is one full day. How does the reservation process work? Reservations are easy – just visit the Rent a Bike section for each bike and use the Reserve Bike tab. Is it necessary to reserve a bike online? It’s best to make a reservation through our reservation form. If you have any specific requests, feel free to email us. Can I extend my rental period? Yes! If the bike is available, you can extend your rental without any problem. How is a “rental day” calculated? One rental day is from 9:00 to 18:00. For example, if you pick up a bike at 9:00, you should return it by 18:00 the same day. I chose the wrong bike size in my reservation. Can I change it? If we have a bike available in the correct size, we will gladly swap it for you. Do I need to pay a deposit when booking? Yes, we require a 30% deposit to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is payable when you collect the bike. Pickup, Return & Delivery Do you deliver or pick up bikes from my hotel or private home? Yes, we offer delivery under certain conditions. You can find more details about this service on our website here. Can I collect or return my bike outside opening hours? In general, bike collection and return are only possible during our opening hours. Is there parking near your shop when I pick up my bike? There are public parking spaces available in the immediate vicinity of our shop. You can find more details about parking on page here. Where can I view your bikes? You can view our bikes in person at our shop, or in the Rent a Bike section, where you’ll find real photos of each bike. We do not use illustrative images. Insurance & Security Is bike insurance available? All the terms and conditions regarding assistance, liability, and theft of the bike are detailed on this page here. What happens if my bike gets stolen? If your rental bike is stolen, you will be responsible for covering the cost. Here’s what to do: Report the theft to the police immediately. Make sure to mention it’s a rental bike from DoctorBicycles. Obtain a copy of the police report and send it to us. We highly recommend getting travel insurance in your home country that covers bike theft - please check with your provider in advance. Can I get insurance in case my bike gets stolen? Unfortunately, we do not offer bike theft insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance in your home country and confirming if they cover rental bike theft. Do I need to bring an ID to collect my bike? Yes, you must present a valid ID or passport when picking up your bike. This is a mandatory requirement. Do I need a helmet or lights while cycling in Mallorca? By law, wearing a helmet is mandatory when cycling in Mallorca. Lights are not required unless you are cycling in low visibility or darkness, in which case they are necessary. Other Services & Mallorca Conditions Do you offer bike transport so cyclists can ride different routes around Mallorca? Currently, we do not offer this service, but we are working on making it available in the future. Do you sell cycling accessories, such as maps or water bottles? Yes, we offer a variety of cycling accessories. You can view the full selection and prices on our webshop page. Do you offer organized road cycling tours? At the moment, we do not offer this service, but we are working on introducing it in the future. Do you provide kids’ bikes, child seats, or bike trailers? Currently, we do not offer these options, but we plan to add them to our services in the future. Do you rent mountain bikes? We do not currently offer mountain bikes, but we are working on making them available. What are your opening hours? Our opening hours are listed on all pages. You can find them here. What are the roads like in Mallorca? The roads in Mallorca are mostly high-quality asphalt, but you may come across older sections that are not in perfect condition. Asphalt can be slippery when wet due to the presence of silica. Can I collect or return my bike outside opening hours? In general, bike collection and return are only possible during our opening hours. Do I have to pay for bike cleaning? Absolutely not! Cleaning is part of our service.
